Miami University Students Study Abroad in Summer

Seventeen students achieved membership in BW's Alpha Mu Zeta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, International English Honor Society.

High Achieving Students Choose Miami University

Under the direction of Adam Heffernan, a talented cast and crew staged J.M. Barrie's "Quality Street" during the fall 2016 semester. Set in an English town during the Napoleonic wars, the play employs an amusing case of mistaken identity to tell the story of two sisters and their pursuit of love, happiness and self-worth.

The Ohio Athletic Conference has honored 21 John Carroll University fall student-athletes with Academic All-OAC distinction for their efforts in the classroom and on their respective fields of play.

More than 500 students earned endowed scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. BW has a long history of endowed scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. More than 385 named scholarships provide over $3 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. Endowed scholarships vary in their requirements with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the summer 2016 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.

About 150 students have joined RIT's fall sports teams, including men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country and women's volleyball.

Nearly 450 YSU Honors College students spent a Saturday this semester volunteering at local organizations for the annual Global Day of Service event.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2016 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

John Carroll University celebrated 2016 Commencement on Sunday, May 22. Approximately 650 undergraduate and 200 graduate degrees were awarded.

The following students were named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2016 semester at Grove City College.

The following local residents were among the 595 students who received degrees during Commencement exercises at Grove City College on May 14, 2016. Delivering this year's Commencement address was Dr. Ben Carson, renowned pediatric neurosurgeon and former 2016 Republican presidential candidate. The Class of 2016 was the second largest class in Grove City College history, coming in just shy of the 596-member Class of 2010. In recent years, the Grove City College's four-year graduation rate has climbed to 78 percent, while its six-year graduation rate has reached 85 percent. The average graduation rate in the U.S. is 59 percent.

Approximately 1,940 students have made the Spring Semester 2016 Dean's List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University.

The Voices of Praise Gospel Choir spent 2016 Spring Break week making appearances at churches, schools and organizations in Chicago from small audiences to live broadcasts. Highlights of the trip included performances at Rainbow Push Coalition with Rev. Jesse Jackson, at Fellowship Chicago with Charles Jenkins and at Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged Charles Mee's "Big Love" during the spring 2016 semester. Directed by Anjanette Hall, the play puts a unique, modern twist to the Greek play, "The Suppliants" by Aeschylus when fifty brides (represented by 3) flee to a manor in Italy to avoid marrying their fifty cousins.

More than 800 students from across Ohio presented the results of their year-long community health projects at the fourth annual HPAC Scholars Day.
